Protecting My Feet on a Run

The last time I went running, I came home with big blisters on the bottom of my feet and a huge hole in the end of one toe of the socks that I had been using. After talking about this with my husband while I soaked my aching feet, he recommended that I look into getting a pair of dedicated running socks to help support and protect my feet when I am giving them a pounding. For particularly long runs, I have heard that people will even lose toe nails sometimes. I want to keep the feet that I have, so I will definitely be looking for something that will make the exercising that I must do less painful. No one should do something that causes that much pain, anyway, and if a pair of socks are all that I need for a comfortable run, then I am ready to get a pair right now!
